The Bad
Even with its excellent features, the Aicok Belgian Waffle Maker still lacks in quite a few areas. Its overall performance is lowered since its sealer broke quickly and would not stay upside down — this led to making waffles very difficult. While one wouldn’t expect so much out of a $30 waffle maker, I was expecting more than this.
But the disappointments don’t end there. This particular unit also had a faulty non-stick coating, as all of the waffles made were stuck and wouldn’t come out without a fight. At the same time, they were burnt and virtually inedible.
The Bottom Line
While its price is an excellent reason to get one of these models, its performance doesn’t do justice for its customers. This product’s only saving grace is the fact that it comes with a 2-year warranty so that we can complain to customer service about how bad their waffle maker is.
Unfortunately, there isn’t much to be loved with the Aicok Belgian Waffle Maker and will probably chase away customers after a few uses, if it lasts that long.
For those lucky enough to pick up a working unit, then you’re fortunate to get a waffle maker with enough features to make an excellent waffle that you can enjoy in the mornings. But then again, for something so affordable, maybe it’s not such a bad product if it doesn’t break prematurely.
