You never have to guess when you’re done with the Cricut EasyPress 2 – Mint 9″ x 9″, as it has been rigorously tested for time and temperature settings on various projects, so all you need to do is apply some pressure and wait for the beep sound — it indicates when you’re all done. The Bad
While the Cricut EasyPress 2 – Mint 9″ x 9″ mostly impressed, it also disappointed quite a bit due to its lack of attention to details. While many would expect that it can deliver the desired results after a “gentle press,” it needs more than that to make the machine work on an HTV. Even after preheating it, the machine would beep and light up green indicating it’s ready, but it wouldn’t be able to make an imprinted design.
Other people have complained about how the screen would be completely black and won’t display the numbers. Even worse, others have reported that it worked fine for two weeks then prematurely lost control of temperature, where it would fluctuate between the temperature rising and then dropping, jumping up and down 10 degrees lower and higher. This is particularly disappointing, considering its price.
The Bottom Line
The Cricut EasyPress 2 – Mint 9″ x 9″ would’ve been an excellent product if the company had taken the time to correct some system errors before being released. One unit can be excused as an anomaly, but multiple units that have the same problems is not good enough. These are the reasons why this model misses out entirely on being the best Cricut model there is.
However, we’re not taking it out of the running altogether. After all, the units that do work produce fantastic results and deliver on all its promises. At it’s best, the Cricut EasyPress 2 – Mint 9″ x 9″ is perfectly capable of giving us the t-shirts, blankets, pillows and other materials we want to be pressed. In the end, the Cricut EasyPress 2 – Mint 9″ x 9″ is still worth the investment.
