Take Videos of Your Adventures: With the DJI Mavic, you can shoot videos at an incredible 4K 30 fps, while recording at 100 Mbps to capture every second with UHD quality. It is also equipped with support for recording 1080p 120 fps slow-motion videos, for all your epic high-speed adventures.
Capture Intense Moments: Using a 3-Axis Gimbal Camera, the DJI Mavic is the most portable DJI drone to house a 3-axis mechanical gimbal. Set in a triangular formation, with its angular vibration range reduced to 0.005°, the gimbal helps to create even steadier shots. In addition to Horizontal, Vertical, and 180° panoramas, the DJI Mavic can stitch 25 photos together in just eight seconds to create crystal-clear 32 MP Sphere panoramas. Another useful feature of the DJI Mavic is its New HDR algorithms to help you obtain the right exposure settings intelligently. Overexposed or dark areas are processed for more natural transitions between highlights and shadows, while DSP acceleration allows for more efficient shooting.
Designed to Ride With You: The DJI Mavic was built with geometric precision, and its arms fold flush against its aerodynamic chassis. Its magnesium alloy brackets reinforce the seven onboard cameras, and its rear vents dissipate heat efficiently. When folded, it is as tall and wide as a smartphone — its lightweight and compact design means you can take it anywhere with you. Because of its unique design, the DJI Mavic is an ultraportable drone that stretches the boundaries of what’s possible for a device its size. Even its remote controller uses a foldable, low-profile, ergonomic design to provide maximum convenience. Using Mavic Air Intelligent Flight Batteries which are made from high-density lithium, you have a substantial flight time of 21mins for all the places you need to explore.
Features to Help You Go Further: Save all your photos and videos inside its built-in 8 GB Internal Storage, which comes along with its Micro SD card slot. The DJI Mavic also makes use of the Active Track feature, which can target up to 16 subjects simultaneously. QuickShots allows you to get the perfect shot without the need for any preparation. You can choose from six different QuickShots — Rocket, Dronie, Circle, Helix, Asteroid, and Boomerang.

The Bad
The DJI Mavic gives us an excellent drone with incredible features. However, there are some hurdles that it can’t fly across. The remote’s signals can get interrupted continuously, which can be a significant pain for those wanting to use it long-range. At it’s best, it will work within a distance of 50 feet, but at its worst, it may not even fly inside your home. This is a big turn off for many of us who want and need a reliable drone, especially when going somewhere new.
The company also lacks in customer service, so be prepared to hear nothing of use when calling in for help about the product. Even if the product itself works well, having to ask for small things from the customer service team may be enough to make you rethink your purchase. Hopefully, though, you will never have a reason to call them in the first place.
The Bottom Line
The DJI Mavic is an excellent drone and certainly has some of the best features available on drones now. However, this model has one crucial mistake that needs to be addressed as soon as possible, to make sure they keep customers happy and satisfied. After all, it is one of the more expensive models out there, so they might as well get the most important thing right.
But if you don’t mind taking the chance that you won’t end up with one of the units that has signal problems, then this is the drone for you. With such a fantastic array of features, there’s no limit to the places you can go and the things you’ll record, capture, and share with your family and friends using the DJI Mavic.
