The Bad
While the KIMO Cordless Drill Driver Kit delivers an excellent performance, it isn’t a perfect drill and has quite a few flaws it needs to work on. Some customers are upset that they have been led to believe that this was a hammer drill, but it is certainly not. It can’t even remove a few screws after it has been screwed on. Unfortunately, even after getting in contact with customer service, nothing has been done to help with the customer’s concerns.
Other customers complain about how some defective units have been sent to them, as pulling the trigger doesn’t power the unit at times, and then it would work some other times. It is also not powerful enough to drill a small lag screw in a 2×4, which prompted the customer to contact the company directly. The company then responded by emailing an updated instruction manual, which is not good enough.
The Bottom Line
While the KIMO Cordless Drill Driver Kit shows a lot of promise, it has some flaws that compromise its overall performance and appeal. Its complete accessories kit indeed lures many customers in, along with its fantastic price, its drilling power could use improvement to give us our money’s worth.
However, for every customer that gets a correctly working KIMO Cordless Drill Driver Kit, this product is the epitome of a tool that can help us through all our projects. For starters I order brand new. It worked fairly well with drilling and putting in screws, but does not work as a hammer drill should. Once the battery died it was unable to charge due to a faulty battery charger. Also noticed arcing within the battery. After contacting customer support I was told everything would be replaced once I sent pictures of the issues along with my order number, but once I sent these over they would stop emailing me. I did this twice before ultimately giving up, and reading other reviews of people that had also endured the same disrespect. Great drill and company for anyone willing to spend $60 for a one time use drill.

Drill quit working after 8 months. Cannot contact Kimo. Have sent 3 emails without any response. Save your money buy another product.
