List of the Best WiFi Extender

1. NETGEAR WiFi Range Extender EX2700

Pros
  • Provides speeds of up to 300Mbps in your home
  • Universal compatibility means you can connect it to any device
  • Provides safety and security
Cons
  • May develop a burning smell after a few months
  • May have released a faulty batch in the markets
Bottom Line

The NETGEAR WiFi Range Extender EX2700 is an excellent product in almost every aspect. If only the company hadn't overlooked their defective units, which they then released anyway, and if they were able to address some system issues, then it would no doubt be a perfect range extender. But again, let this be a warning: there might still be some of the defective batches out there, so there is a bit of risk in buying this model.

However, if you get yourself a unit that has none of the things mentioned above, then you have one of the best Wi-Fi extenders out now. Not only does it deliver a fantastic performance, but it also comes with an attractive price tag. All in all, the NETGEAR WiFi Range Extender EX2700 is the closest thing to come to a perfect Wi-Fi extender, so cross your fingers and hope you get one of the good ones.

2. Linksys AC1900 Gigabit Range Extender

Pros
  • Covers a whopping 10,000 square feet
  • Uses Next-Gen AC Wi-Fi, Multi User-MIMO technology
  • Eliminates Wi-Fi dead zones around the house
Cons
  • Works great until an auto-update is performed
  • May get disconnected consistently
Bottom Line

The Linksys AC1900 Gigabit Range Extender would've been an excellent addition to our homes if it had taken care of its system problems. Auto-updates and questionable connectivity that leads to a terrible performance are more than enough for many customers to think twice about purchasing this product. This is such a shame because when it does work, it creates wonders that provide up to 10,000 square feet of coverage in and out of our homes.

In the end, the Linksys AC1900 Gigabit Range Extender is a bit of a hit and miss, since half the time it will give us everything we ever wanted in a Wi-Fi extender, while the other half of the time, it makes us want to go back to the dark ages when none of the technology ever mattered. But with any luck, you might get your hands on that rare, correctly working unit that shows you just how amazing online gaming can be with a smooth and seamless internet connection.

3. NETGEAR WiFi Mesh Range Extender EX7300

Pros
  • Extends your range up to 2,000 square feet
  • Connects up to 35 devices including laptops, smartphones, tablets and more
  • Provides impressive speeds of up to 2200 Mbps
Cons
  • May stop working after nine months
  • Company has terrible customer service
Bottom Line

In the end, NETGEAR WiFi Mesh Range Extender EX7300 isn't the best product to buy if you're looking for a WiFi extender since so many problems plague it. From its early breakdown issues to its questionable support services, there aren't many positives to rave about with this product. While we badly wanted to love this model, it's claims of up to 2200Mbps speeds, and coverage of up to 2000 square feet sounds more far-fetched than impressive.

All in all, while NETGEAR WiFi Mesh Range Extender EX7300 tried to provide us with a high-quality product that delivers more than we expected, it instead gives us a whole lot of disappointments and costs us $134. In conclusion, if you need a range extender that delivers the results you want at a more affordable price, steer clear of this product and invest in a different brand.

4. NETGEAR WiFi Mesh Range Extender EX8000

Pros
  • Covers up to 2,500 square feet
  • Connects up to 50 devices
  • Suitable for 4K HD streaming and multiplayer gaming
Cons
  • Randomly turns off during use
  • May provide false information regarding speeds
Bottom Line

The NETGEAR WiFi Mesh Range Extender EX8000 gives us a lot of promise and potential, only for it to be dismissed once the product has reached our homes and used for its intended purposes. We wanted this product to be an excellent addition to any home, but unfortunately, it just doesn't deliver our expectations. Not only does it get our hopes up, but it destroys all our dreams of getting a proper WiFi connection.

All in all, the NETGEAR WiFi Mesh Range Extender EX8000 is a big flop, much like all their other range extenders, which is sad because we hoped that at least one of their products would give us what we want. And to ask for $200 is more than we can afford for a range extender that doesn't work as it is supposed to. So to save yourself from awful customer service, getting ripped off, and having to face a lot of troubleshooting on the phone, it's best not to consider this product.

5. WiFi Range Extender, AC1200 Dual Band Mini WiFi Repeater

Pros
  • Compatible with Alexa and smart home devices
  • Delivers speeds of up to 900Mbps on 5GHz
  • Quick and easy setup, even if you're not tech-savvy
Cons
  • Customer support may not be existing
  • Beware of the firmware updates
Bottom Line

Despite its worrying problems, the Prescitech X12 AC1200 WiFi Extender is still one of the best range extenders this year. Just imagine getting your hands on a device that not only extends your WiFi's reach but also gives you speeds up to 900Mbps on the 5G network. It may not be perfect, but the Prescitech X12 AC1200 WiFi Extender is our best shot at getting the results we want.

In the end, the Prescitech X12 AC1200 WiFi Extender has everything we ever wanted and more; from its reliable coverage to its wireless and wired features, and it's incredible speeds. And if you get a unit that doesn't suffer from any of its known issues, (which is likely because there are only a few customers who have complained), then you have yourself an excellent product to keep you online all day, every day. We wouldn't think twice about buying one of these and is highly recommended, so get yours before it's sold out from the market.
