Our review of the J.A. Henckels International 15-pc Knife Set put this knife set through its paces. Let’s take a look at some of the best features of the J.A. Henckels International 15-pc Knife Set…
Durable and Quality Tools:
The J.A. Henckels International 15-pc Knife Set has been fabricated from high-quality, durable stainless steel, along with a single-piece, stamped blade construction, which is lighter than most knives. It’s also equipped with the traditional triple-rivet handles, which are curved for balance and comfort while the stainless steel end cap adds an aesthetic appeal to your block display.
Complete Set:
Included in the J.A. Henckels International 15-pc Knife Set is the 3-inch Paring Knife, 5-inch Serrated Utility Knife, 7-inch Santoku Knife with Hollow Edge, 8-inch Chef’s Knife, 8-inch Bread Knife, 4.5-inch Steak Knife, along with Steel Kitchen Shears and Hardwood Block. All these great tools, combined with its full tang, allows each knife to perform with maximum maneuverability.
This excellent knife set tries to give us a reliable performance but narrowly misses out on being flawless. One particular issue it suffers from is how it gets dull too quickly, even when it is being washed by hand as instructed. And while it worked fine for the first couple of uses, it no longer cuts anything now that it is no longer sharp.
To make matters worse, the company’s customer service is next to nonexistent, as they made this customer wait for an hour and 34 minutes without so much as an actual reply from a representative. For a company with such a huge name to live up to, this example isn’t particularly a promising experience for potential customers.
The J.A. Henckels International 15-pc Knife Set has a lot to prove. After all, the company has been in the industry since 1895 and was manufactured by the renowned Zwilling J.A. Henckels. While it is far from the perfection that we expect of such a highly successful knife company, it is capable of some fantastic results, which many customers have come to love and appreciate through the years.
From its high-quality and durable stainless steel to its various types of knives, the J.A. Henckels International 15-pc Knife Set is an excellent product to add to your kitchen and home. To add even more value for your money, this knife set also implements terrific design features that can further help you to get an even better slice. With this knife set, you will be better prepared for any task in the kitchen, while at the same time, getting your value for money.

I was a bit disappointed that these particular blades on the 6 cutlass pieces, and probably for the sharpening rod as well, were not manufactured in Germany, but instead China. That automatically instills a sense of receiving lesser quality and maybe questionable materials. I know it certainly allows for a less inexpensive product, but there is a reason for that. Merely to have the J.A. Henckels namesake on the knife block and blades printed on a lesser quality blade can lead to repercussions to that namesake. Blades do not boast being forged steel as are the ones made in Germany. I will give them a try and see if they hold their edge. Handles are plastic too, not that such a thing in itself is necessarily a bad thing, but it could also be a unnecessarily bad thing.
